WORLD CLASS FITNESS

We are the only Official CrossFit Affiliate in Tonbridge Kent, using CrossFit methodology as a prime training method. We are the first UK affiliate to bring CrossFit to the Kent and East Sussex area and having been open since 2010. Our members travel from Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas to train with us. We’re the friendliest gym around and have a large social community built round the gym.

Some of my favourite sessions were the Wednesday Rugby WODs!!

Don’t forget, the CrossFit Games Open is starting this week - for 5 weeks!

We run a fun and friendly in-house leaderboard for anyone who is participating. The Open WOD will be every Saturday for the next 5 weeks. Further to this, there is also an 1815 Open Gym sesh on Fridays, for 5 weeks, for those who can’t make the Saturdays sessions

In 2011, 25,000 people entered the Open worldwide. In 2018, 429,000 entered. It’s very inclusive with varying age and scaling categories, so you can be any ability and enter. You’ll see your scores on the worldwide leaderboard, how you fare in each workout, then over the Open entirety at the end. It’s a great way to measure progression, current level of skill, strength and fitness, plus you’ll push yourself that little bit harder on that Saturday morning

The Open WODs at CFT are always a good blast, whether you enter the Open formally or not. Either way, be sure to enjoy it!

GRIP STRENGTH - This is Doug, the only man at CFT to pick up the 50kg dumbbell (AKA the very expensive door stop), with one hand. Adding insult to injury, Doug was repping this with his weaker hand!

Over the next few weeks you’ll see the Club getting a facelift. This includes new paint & artwork, serviced kit, new lighting, bag / coat storage, a banging new sound system, some shiny new equipment, plus another cool surprise which will be announced soon.

We’d like to also send a shout to the 10 or so new members who’ve just joined us, or are being inducted this week. If you see them, give them sweaty fist-bump
